Au Pair: $750 summer, $1200 academic year. Guest Teacher: $750. Internship in London: $1200. Language Vacation: depends on where you go. A non-refundable $40 Application Fee is payable when you apply. We will send you application material on request. You can go any time. Most students go for the summer or for the academic year. Destinations are France, Spain, Italy, Austria, and Germany. If you are going to Europe as an Au Pair or Guest Teacher, you will talk to the family several times on the phone and discuss the job with them before you make a decision. After you talk to the family, if you decide to accept the job you will pay the Program Fee before you go. But if you do not accept the job, or cannot go for any reason, the only cost is the non-refundable Application Fee which you have already paid. Au Pairs and Guest Teachers do not pay the Program Fee if they don't go. Internship and Language Vacation Fees are payable in advance and are not refundable. Travel costs are not included. You should buy the plane ticket after you arrange your arrival date with the family. The round-trip plane fare is about $600 from a cheap travel agency. We know of a few good ones, but you may use any travel agency you like. ACCORD does not insure you. We can recommend companies that provide student insurance or you can choose your own. Maybe you are insured already. You will pay tuition directly to the bursar of the European school when you register. ACCORD does not charge tuition because we are not a school. Tuition for the academic year is about $400 to $2200. Since some schools are cheaper than others, we usually suggest several schools and let the student decide. Au Pairs do not attend school in the summer because European families often travel then. There may be no suitable school nearby.
